Your wellness matters
As students we understand that university isn’t all fun and games. From transitioning in first year to making big life decisions in your final year, we know that your physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being can go through many ups and downs. Navigate the links on this page to find out more about the services offered by Huron and Western, and also the My Wellness initiatives led by HUCSC.
The University of Western Ontario has gone out of its way to invest in resources that provide students the tools needed to cope with any barriers affecting their mental health. These resources are the best and most affordable available at the Western and Huron community. We are lucky that most of these resources are less than a 5 minute walk from the Huron Campus and encourage students to take advantage of them. ALL information you provide regarding your background, appointments or contact information is confidential. If you feel the need to talk to someone or are curious about what options are available to you don’t hesitate to click UWO Services .
Feeling overwhelmed or genuinely sick? Sometimes asking for a Medical Note helps students recover and ensure that they can maintain a good academic performance. Click Medical Note for more information.
One of the best ways to take a break and give your mind a rest is to get ACTIVE! This can range from sticking to a routine at the gym, joining a fitness class, or going for a trail run in the beautiful woods behind Huron. Western has a state of the art athletic facility that provides students with squash courts, basketball courts, ice rink an Olympic size pools, 2 floor weight gym, and much more! For more information regarding this click My Fitness!
Huron is currently building some initiatives to help students cope with barriers to their mental health. For more information surrounding our services please click Huron Services.
