As a member of the HUCSC Hype team, Assistant to the President of the Political Science Club, among several other leadership roles, Michael Haas is a committed and actively involved student in the Huron Community.
Despite being a first-year student, Michael was excited to start the Huron Blood Donation Club. Michael established and ratified the Blood Donation Club in early February, with the advice and knowledge he gained as a member of Western's Stem Cell Club. Michael believes that starting this organization will allow him to educate his fellow students about the importance of blood donation and how it helps to save lives.
Michael and his team will continue to organize blood drives and educational activities in collaboration with the London Blood Services Center. He intends to increase the membership base in the future by expanding to Main Campus and working with Western's Stem Cell Club. Micheal advises everyone to take advantage of every opportunity and to not be hesitant to start a new program or club as a first-year student.
