Academic Clubs

Academic clubs at Huron are the perfect way to bring your classroom learning to life! These program-specific clubs give you the chance to connect with classmates, share ideas, and explore your field in a more hands-on way. And you don’t have to be in the program to join, academic clubs are also a great way to explore new subjects, meet new people, and broaden your university experience.

CLUB SPOTLIGHT: CENTRE FOR GLOBAL STUDIES CLUB

Looking to connect with other students in the Center for Global Studies program? The CGS Club is the perfect place to meet peers, share perspectives, and build community outside the classroom. Through events, discussions, and socials, the club creates opportunities to form friendships that make the program feel even more connected.

  • The Global Great Books Student Association (GGBSA) is a place for all students to connect beyond the classroom. The GGBSA focuses on fostering a community directly related to the GGB department itself, the people within it, and going beyond academics by reaching out beyond the class.   • This is your go-to place for trivia, museum trips, themed events, and opportunities to network and connect with others over a love of history. We are as much for those in the department as we are for hobbyist historians, with faculty mixers and opportunities to review work with other history students.
