Pay It Forward

Pay It Forward is a Huron University College Student Council initiative where students can give back to their community in simple but meaningful ways. Students can donate their Flex dollars, contribute to food drives, or volunteer their time to support local organizations and people in need. It’s all about using the resources we have as students whether it’s money, meals, or time to make a positive impact and help others in our community.

What is Pay It Forward?

About the Program

Pay it Forward (PIF) is a program ran by the HUCSC, originally founded in 2024, that aims to address food insecurity in our local communities through donations and volunteering. This program encourages students to take action and help those facing food insecurity through this difficult time.

Why?

As of 2023, 1 in 4 households in London were facing food insecurity of varying degrees. This issue affects a large proportion of our community, so student involvement, donations and community support is vital in supporting the area we reside in.
