Advocacy Clubs

Advocacy clubs at Huron empower students to raise their voices and create change. From Pride Club to HPAWS to Jack.org, these groups provide supportive spaces to stand up for causes that matter, build awareness, and foster a more inclusive and caring campus community.

CLUB SPOTLIGHT: HURON PRIDE CLUB

The Huron Pride Club is a vibrant, welcoming space for all students to connect, celebrate, and be themselves. HPC is here to build community and create memorable experiences, while ensuring our space is safe and free from any hate or discrimination. HPC’s biggest highlight is the annual Pride Formal: a night filled with dancing, a drag performer, a DJ, amazing food, and a photo wall you will not forget. They also host cozy movie nights, creative craft sessions, and seasonal events like Spooky Crafts and Galantines. Come as you are, leave with friends!

  • Huron’s chapter of Jack.org is part of Canada’s largest youth-led mental health network, dedicated to creating a campus culture where students feel safe, supported, and empowered to talk about mental health. We bring Jack.org’s mission to life by hosting regular discussion circles and exciting community-building events like tea time, “Donut Stress,” and gingerbread house decorating. Our goal is to spark conversations, reduce stigma, and foster a supportive environment where all students can thrive. Join us in advocating for a future where youth mental health is a priority.
