Being a student looks different for everyone; what we have in common though, are the perks and privileges associated with being a student at both Huron University, and the University of Western Ontario. Within this article and pseudo-guidebook, you’ll find a helpful list of the resources and services you are privy to during your education.
Food: The Huron Chapel pantry
The Theology department operates a student pantry for students who aren’t getting what they need from a meal plan, or cannot afford to buy food when on campus.
While the pantry is managed by the Chapel, this initiative is open to all students regardless of religion or creed, on a “take what you need" basis.

Food: Western USC peer support

Student Services: The Office of The Ombudsperson
The ombudsperson is a confidential, impartial and independent office that helps you – students at Western and the affiliates – determine options. They do that by listening, discussing what you would like to see happen next, and then figuring out what you/they can do to make that possible.
Navigating life as a student can be challenging, but the HUCSC is dedicated to providing you support during every moment, no matter how big or small. We are united by the philosophy that the last thing you should ever be on campus is in need.
